WARNING. Monday. Day 11. I felt very little pain, but may be gross. At any rate, TOTALLY WORTH IT 💯 Dr. Calvert told me that part of the reason I’m healing so fast and so well is because I don’t drink alcohol.

Sunday. Day 10 I did get to put Reno away though ❤️I was going to groom him but Kevin scared me about dust/germs/stitches/eyes.

Sunday. Day 10

My vision is still pretty blurry, eyes watery today. I went to the ranch with Kevin, but I can’t ride for 3 more weeks. It was actually a little taxing just being out walking around, and I forgot to bring advil and Tylenol, so I started feeling a little pain around my jaws/ears.

Saturday. Day 9. Dr Calvert said that removing the stitches in my eyes releases a protein, which is why my vision is so blurry. It can last up to a week. I should keep using Systane moisturizing eye drops. This info was not included in my emotional rollercoaster handbook 😂😂

Saturday. Day 9

I like these dark circles. Swelling is going down even more, somewhat asymmetrically as warned. Click photo for link.

Saturday. Day 9

Well today is boring. I feel well, but my vision is horribly blurry. These glasses are cute though. I wish they were binoculars, lol. Click photo for link.

Friday. Day 8

We went to a party at our neighbor’s. Lol! Steven Meisel Makeover Madness Vogue Italia 2005. …We really did go to a party at our neighbor’s though.

Friday eve. Day 8

After hyperbaric chamber session #3. Almost too normal, it’s only been a week! Click photo for link.

Friday. Day 8

She’s a widow, possibly murdered her husband, spent all of her inheritance on her face.

Thursday. Day 7

You guys. Remember when I used to say “I can’t even watch TV with this neck!” Well here I am watching TV. 👍🏻👍🏻 Click photo for link.

Thursday. Day 7

Oh waaaoooowwww This is one of my comfortable house dresses that I made awhile ago. At this point, I don’t want to spend the whole day at home in PJs. Click photo for link.

Thursday. Day 7

Being in your 50s is weird. I finally understand the saying “youth is wasted on the young”. My energy is improving a lot, but showering was exhausting, and I was scared of the robot stitches in my hair. Click photo for link.

Wednesday. Day 6

Dang, I almost look normal already, 5 days after surgery day! Ugh, I need more beat-up photo shoots!

Wednesday. Day 6

2nd outing photo shoot, heading to hyperbaric chamber again. Kevin built this lasso dummy to practice. It’s so good! Click photo for video.

Tuesday. Day 5

It’s not easy to sleep elevated on these ortho-pillows. I miss sleeping on my face with my arm around Minnow. The bruising does look better. Click photo for link.

Tuesday. Day 5. I just wanted a dang fruit smoothie. He put LETTUCE and WHEY PROTEIN in the first one.

Monday. Day 4

100% oxygen. It’s a tiny bit claustrophobic the first time. I just lie there for an hour wearing an oxygen mask while watching a period piece on PBS. Click photo for link.

Monday. Day 4

Hyperbaric chamber to promote healing. It’s been clinically proven (in double-blind placebo challenge trials) that these medical-grade FDA approved pressurized oxygen chambers promote healing. Not just for facelifts, but for accidents, injuries, bone breaks, some diseases, tissue damage, and other surgeries as well. Click photo for link.

Monday. Day 4

First outing to post op appointment. It’s really fun to dress up while looking like this. I often take on a character, make up little stories, which is part of why I like fashion and style and sewing my own clothes. Click photo for link.

Sunday. Day 3

Flowers from Kevin ❤️. Happy Birthday to me! What an extravagant birthday present! I’ve cut back on most of the pain killers except for advil and Tylenol now. It’s really not that painful. The swelling and bruising doesn’t concern me at all. Click photo for link.

Sunday. Day 3

Chilling with Kevin. A bit high. I am very lucky to be supported by Kevin. He is genuinely happy for me, and he’s an excellent caretaker, omg I am so spoiled. He helped me through the anxiety leading up to surgery, and he told me that yes, I do deserve to have this surgery. ❤️…

Sunday. Day 3

Closeup. V editorial. I’ve always liked my face, and I am very blessed to have a healthy and strong body. I’d been feeling like I missed my face.
-
Saturday. Day 2

In aftercare, after the bandages and drains were removed. Anyone over 50 who says the secret to looking young is to “eat clean” “exercise” and “drink a lot of water” is a dang liar. Sure that helps, but surgery with the right surgeon helps more. Click photo for link.
